Chuck,You said Tiger rotates less, is that his hips that rotate less? I am confused about the hip action on the downswing. How can you slow down the hip turn and at the same time pull from the left as hard as you want? It looks like both you and Tiger try to minimize hip rotation up until impact so the club can get down in front. Can you get your left hip to far back on the downswing by pulling to hard?

I went to a physical therapist this year because I had lower back and neck pains from swinging a golf club. She introduced me to the biomechanics of a golf swing – when you use your body properly you should not be in pain playing golf…thus I researched more and found Rotary Swing. I’ve been watching the videos for one week now and have totally revamped my swing – no pain – using my core – in balance. It will take time to build my musculature and to re-learn to swing again but I am forever grateful that I found this only 1 year and a half after picking up a club for the first time. Because I don’t necessarily have so many ingrained bad habits it’s easier to apply all this and keep it. See you in April [...]

For me, its all about having the knowledge to and using that knowledge to improve my swing. I played golf to junior county level as a teenager, and spent a year at age 17, practicing to try to get better.I failed, because I never knew what, or how to practice. I gave up golf for 25 years because I had had put the effort into improving, but in fact got worse. I decided to take it up again a few years ago, and although I have not improved much, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. This is what I need to keep going. My scores do not bother me much, its the hitting of pure shots with a decent swing that drives me.The problem is that I may only hit one [...]

I am new to the Rotary Swing, and I have a question on setup. I understand the concept of setting up 1 inch outside of neutral, but as I follow the setup routine should I initially setup my back leg (I am right handed) neutral and as I complete the final step “hip bump and axis tilt”. The reason I ask is I believe the ”hip bump and axis tilt” will shift my right hip naturally to the left which would my hip inside 1 inch.
