I have been working on the movements with proper rotation on my backswing (without a club). I have my arms 2″ apart until I get my shoulders fully turned and then I do right elbow flexion and some shoulder elevation. Once I am fully turned I feel some engagement or I guess flexing on my left pec when I hold this position. If I drop my left arm down it goes away, but when I bring my left hand back in connection with my right hand I feel this right away. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I am really focusing on keeping my lats engaged and arms passive.

Chuck,You said Tiger rotates less, is that his hips that rotate less? I am confused about the hip action on the downswing. How can you slow down the hip turn and at the same time pull from the left as hard as you want? It looks like both you and Tiger try to minimize hip rotation up until impact so the club can get down in front. Can you get your left hip to far back on the downswing by pulling to hard?

I am new to the OPS and this site. I have been working on the fundamentals that CQ talks about on a daily basis. Everything seems to work fine until I get to the 5, 4 and 3 iron. On my longer irons the ball starts low, straight and penetrating then it starts to tail off to the right (about 10 to 12 paces on a 4 iron shot 200yds) after it reaches its apex. I still have good compression of the golf ball with these longer irons. I know this could be an over the top move, but the ball seems to start on its intended target line and not left of it. I find that I have to really concentrate on my weight transfer and hip turn to get the ball to stay straight and [...]

Motion view basic is about $90. It gives lines and angles and other stuff that I don’t use. You can overlay videos if you can figure out how to match sizes. You can sync videos if you can figure out how to match speeds. I can’t.
