Looking at some video of Fowler I notice something that I think is a huge ingrediant to fowlers power and that is the mobility of his thoracic spine. Look at the lines I drew on his chest and back. The thoracic spine moves forward and backward in the rib cage and at the top of his backswing look at the extesion he gets and how expanded his chest is. This is what helps him to generate tons of speed.
