I am new to the OPS and this site. I have been working on the fundamentals that CQ talks about on a daily basis. Everything seems to work fine until I get to the 5, 4 and 3 iron. On my longer irons the ball starts low, straight and penetrating then it starts to tail off to the right (about 10 to 12 paces on a 4 iron shot 200yds) after it reaches its apex. I still have good compression of the golf ball with these longer irons. I know this could be an over the top move, but the ball seems to start on its intended target line and not left of it. I find that I have to really concentrate on my weight transfer and hip turn to get the ball to stay straight and [...]

Motion view basic is about $90. It gives lines and angles and other stuff that I don’t use. You can overlay videos if you can figure out how to match sizes. You can sync videos if you can figure out how to match speeds. I can’t.

Chuck – Any advice on Strategy or Mental Approach when playing in qualifiers? Qualifiers always seem a bit strange because they are not the actual event & you don’t have to play your best to make the number, but then again you can’t relax too much & play loose. What is a good mindset in your opinion?

I went to a physical therapist this year because I had lower back and neck pains from swinging a golf club. She introduced me to the biomechanics of a golf swing – when you use your body properly you should not be in pain playing golf…thus I researched more and found Rotary Swing. I’ve been watching the videos for one week now and have totally revamped my swing – no pain – using my core – in balance. It will take time to build my musculature and to re-learn to swing again but I am forever grateful that I found this only 1 year and a half after picking up a club for the first time. Because I don’t necessarily have so many ingrained bad habits it’s easier to apply all this and keep it. See you in April [...]
