Rotary Swing Tour : Right Arm in Takeaway

Author: rufdiggitySubject: Right Arm in TakeawayPosted: 22 March 2010 at 3:52pm
Hi Chuck- I was viewing a couple of the videos on basically move 1.  In the video of the role of the Right arm in the takeaway, you say that you shouldn’t have any wrist hinge.  However, in the 9-to-3 drill you talk about using some wrist hinge.  Is adding this wrist hinge going to affect the swing when trying to add move 2?  The other thing I noticed is that in that drill, it seems like your right elbow starts to bend a tad.  Is that from the momentum of when you go into the downswing causing this?  Just trying to clarify when i really start going through the drill in live action.  Right now I am just drilling in the basement in slow mo. Matt
