I wanted to share this with the forum given the popularity of using the 9 to 3 drill to work on grooving proper Takeaway and Weight Shift fundamentals. On the left is a good example of allowing the hips to turn along with the torso in the backswing. Notice the difference between Chuck’s hip position when performing the drill. Remember, Move 1 should be executed by the shoulders turning 45 degrees and the hips turn 0 degrees.
