OK, the hanging arms thing got me thinking. Having attended the clinic, I know about the “bowing/praying” drill waiting for the weight to shoot back to the heels for optimal spine tilt. This is followed by staying in the box while the arms drop and then come together. Where my question lies is this: I’ve got a wide chest and I’m not the kind of fellow who’s worried about a famine. I can – with effort – get my hands together while staying in the box, but it’s a struggle. I’ve found that it’s easier to increase my spine angle to free up my arms and get them more ‘on top’ of the gut – and when I get overactive with my arms, I can recover (I have an issue with lifting my arms, still ) Which is optimal [...]
