Where to start?You have to make a few assumptions – like you’ve mentioned, solid contact is one. A program like trajectoware (it’s free last time I checked) will allow you to tweak just about any launch parameter you want, or calculate back and forth (for a given swing speed and loft, clubhead mass and COR, what ball speed, launch angle and spin do I get and vice versa) – so you could play around in it and find out. The “golden 3″ of distance is ball speed, launch angle, and spin. From driver to wedge, these are the numbers that will dictate your shot.
